How I Become a UX-driven Product Designer

Inspired by the experience in Marketing team, I was eager to learn business knowledge to enhance multiple angles of expertise in the real world.
As a marketer,
I went to the University of Manchester to study International Multichannel Marketing and successfully gained B2C marketing experience at a start-up company (TTK Europe Express Ltd). I practiced my knowledge by building up the team from 1 to 3 team members and helped the company expand the retail customer market as a new profit channel. In addition, I led a web-to-mobile version design project to help customers make order easier. I self-learned UX/UI knowledge to analyse user requirements and provide design solutions to deliver the app in 2019.
As a designer,
I was lucky to start my first full-time job at Disney after getting a return offer. Besides accumulating design experience, I learned how to communicate effectively and work well with cross-departmental teams. Working with the Marketing team on many collaborative projects has made me become interested in consumer marketing. I remembered clearly that I came across UI visual strategy design for multiple apps since 2017. I was excited when the projects were launched, and millions of customers discussed the design on social platforms.
After that, I got an opportunity to work for a medium-sized company (Freshasia Foods Ltd) in London as a Senior Marketing Officer to start my B2B trading marketing journey. I visited 100+ key accounts in-person from Southampton to Dundee and started managing 80+ part-time employees around the UK.
As a UX-driven product designer,
I'm proud of my previous achievements, and it's time to combine all my skills and plan for the next chapter. My passion for design, especially human-centred design, could enable me to connect all my business and design knowledge to the real world. Life is short. I enjoy creating practical/innovative solutions for target users. It makes me feel I am contributing to the world and helping people.
